Hello, My name is Louis and I would like to thank you for visiting DelMar Olde English Bullodgges. We are just enthusiast, and
hobbyist of this great breed. As part time breeders we give that special attention to everyone of our litters. My experience takes me to
the year 1992 and my first Rottweiler "Sheyla Del mar". Obedience training and Schutzhund (novice) training was the beginning. I then
acquire another Rottweiler "Vigor von Housht" OFA Excellent. Due to politics and insurance law issues I decided to change breeds
once my dogs passed away. I bred 3 litters of Rottweilers, and was able to breed a USRC Show Winner Champion Sir Monte vom
Welch. It is that experience that I am able to use to study our puppies regarding temperament, and what type of character will they
have once they grow up. I was first introduce to the "Real Olde English Bulldogge" in 1989. I felt in love with the breed and the creator's
efforts. In 2002 we acquire our first Olde English Bulldogge "Abbey". My observation of the breed took me towards breeders that were
involved with the OEB for decades. People like Ray Schnieder, Karen Campetti, Doug Baxter, Tim Kelly and Rich Martin (RIP). I joined
the Olde English Bulldogge Kennel Club in 2002. Our efforts were mainly directed to help the public understand the "Real OEB". By
this time there were breeders creating all sorts of type of Bullies and naming them by the name Olde English Bulldogge. My direction
to work with other breeders mainly the above mentioned ones was the right one. Our first breeding gave us American Rare Breed
Association Champion "DelMar's Beauty "Bee". Also a winner of best of breed in specialty shows. We also bred a best in show winner
by the name of "DelMar's Buch "Buchey".
I belief that in order to create family dogs. The Sire and the Dam must also be family dogs. What I mean is that Kennel dogs do not
give the breeder the right signs simply because they do not live inside. In order to know your dogs better a breeder must live with
them. The Temperament and Character of those dogs that are to be use to create must also have a family nature character. I use an
old form of temperament test to determine the puppies character and temperament for the right placement. It is essential to know the
experience of the new owners, activity level and family size. The Olde English Bulldogge for the most part are tolerant of small
children. But as most new owners should know, children and pets must be supervised at all times. Teaching the ranking structure
within the family is very important. That means humans should be Alpha (1st) from the oldest to the youngest. It is important to
establish the ranking structure. Teaching the young children to respect the puppy will initiate an inseparable bond.

WARNING: SAY NO TO PET SHOPS

As a prospective owner you should be informed of such issues. Purchasing a
cute puppy from a Pet Shop is a risk that you do not need to make.
Understanding where most of these puppies come from and how they are
treated will give you the power to "Say No".

Full time breeders that make a living out of dogs is also an issue. I must say
that there are some breeders who have an A Plus quality kennel and have the
right staffing levels to run a breeding kennel that combines usually a training
facility. Most are of Working stock such as GS, Malinois, Rottweilers, Dutch
Shepherds, ETC.

Olde English Bulldogges will do much better indoors.
Our breedings are focus for the family, with the right phenotype in mind.
